Call for Papers
![]() The large-scale data visualization problem has drawn a lot of attention over the past few years due to the exploded data size which stresses the CPU, memory, and network resources of substantial scientific computing environments. The DOE ASCI program and the NSF LSSDSV Program are among the representative efforts to seek solutions. Recently, we have begun to see major advances in the techniques for the management, manipulation, visualization, and display of large scientific and engineering data sets. The July/August 2001 issue of IEEE Computer Graphics & Applications will be devoted to the theme of Large-Scale Data Visualization. We solicit papers that address novel, challenging and innovative results. Particular areas of interest include, but are not limited to:
Both the abstracts and pdf files of the full papers should be submitted via email to the guest editor, Kwan-Liu Ma (ma@cs.ucdavis.edu). Important dates:Please direct any correspondence and/or questions prior to submission to the guest editor: Dr. Kwan-Liu Ma |
