Chris Bird and Prem Devanbu win “10 Year Most Influential Paper Award” at the International Conference on Mining Software Repositories

Former CS student Dr. Chris Bird (now Senior Researcher at Microsoft Research) and Prof. Premkumar Devanbu won the 10 Year Most Influential Paper Award at the International Conference on Mining Software Repositories, held in Austin, TX, for paper published in 2006, entitled “Mining Email Social Networks”. Other authors include Alex Gourley Michael Gertz and Anand Swaminathan, all at UC Davis at the time. The citation on the award reads “for foundational influence on studies of socio-technical activities in software projects”.
