Catalog Description:
Cryptographic primitives and protocols of importance to e-commerce present
and future, including: content distribution mechanisms, payment mechanisms,
pricing mechanisms, anonymity and privacy mechanisms, fair exchange mechanisms.
Offered in alternate years.
Goals:
The goals of this course are to introduce the students to new cryptographic
ideas that may influence future e-commerce scenarios, and to survey some
active areas of cryptographic research.

Projects:
Students design and analyze new protocols or primitives, or new e-commerce
applications of existing protocols and primitives. Alternatively, they can
prototype proposed applications to assess their viability.
