"Overview of Current Research Efforts in Wireless Communication Networks"

Abstract:

In this talk, I will give an overview of my current research efforts in wireless communication networks, focusing on three topics: cross-layer design, wireless sensor networks, and spectrum-agile communication systems. As an example of cross-layer design, I will introduce some results on opportunistic scheduling. In the case of sensor networks, I will present a comb-needle protocol for efficient data query, an algorithm for node placement, and some results on connectivity. Last, I will discuss our on-going work on spectrum-agile communication systems.
