Abstract:

Tremendous progress has recently been made in the field of automated modeling and model-order reduction. Only five years ago, the state-of-the-art was limited to the simplest linear time-invariant models. Now, general modeling schemes for complex nonlinear, time-varying systems are within sight. In this talk we survey some recent progress made in automated nonlinear macromodelling by exploiting principal-components type analyses and their nonlinear analogs, specifically, for the solution of two sub-problems in the context of projection-based model order reduction of nonlinear systems of differential equations.
