We begin accepting applications for admission (current calendar year) in September for admission for the following academic year (following calendar year). All applications and supporting material must be received by January 15th for the following academic year. Applications are reviewed once a year. Applications received after the January 15th deadline may be declined without consideration and the fee will not be refunded.
The Davis campus of the University of California offers graduate study leading to the Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in computer science. The program is administered by the Graduate Group in Computer Science and offers students the opportunity to become involved in many areas of research specialization including algorithms, computational biology, computer architecture, computer graphics and visualization, computer systems design, database and information systems, computer security, computer networks, programming languages and compilers, parallel and distributed systems, operating systems, performance evaluation, scientific computation, and software engineering.
