Professor Laub's research interests are in numerical linear algebra, computational matrix analysis, numerical analysis, and algorithms for computer-aided control system design. Of special interest are new statistically-based condition estimation techniques. Professor Laub is a Fellow (1986) of the IEEE and is also a member of SIAM and ACM.
