Newsgroups
Newsgroups have been created to keep CS/CSE students informed about advising information, class schedule changes, internships, jobs, and other information. The newsgroups are:
- ucd.cs.ugrad for information on undergraduate matters.
- ucd.cs.jobs for information on internships and employment.
- ucd.cs.club for activities of the Computer Science Club.
To read news articles, use one of the following commands:
tin ucd.cs.ugrad OR rn ucd.cs.ugrad
or via a web browser.
Computer Science Club
The Computer Science Club is an organization open to all students, faculty and alumni to promote information on computer science and computers. Club activities include a programming contest, an end-of-the-year reception, guest speakers, and volunteering in the department's Computer Science Instructional Facility (CSIF) to assist students with minor computer program problems. The CS Club is a student chapter of ACM (Association for Computing Machinery), a professional organization for computer scientists.
