Upon first enrollment at UC Davis, CS and CSE transfer students should meet with the undergraduate adviser to determine the acceptability of courses taken at other institutions.
All petitions to modify major or degree requirements must be submitted to the Computer Science Undergraduate Affairs Committee PRIOR TO ENROLLMENT in the substitute course. Petitions submitted after the fact will be considered only in hardship cases.
Continuing UC Davis students changing their major to CS should meet with the undergraduate adviser to determine the acceptability of courses taken at UC Davis or other institutions to satisfy major requirements.
Students wanting to substitute a UC Davis course or a course from another institution for a course in the major are required to complete a Required Course Substitution Petition. (The petition is available from the undergraduate advisor.) For courses taught at other colleges or universities, the web site containing the expanded course description must be submitted with the petition. The petition will be reviewed by the Computer Science Undergraduate Affairs Committee.
