ECS 231 Final Project Report Guideline
- Project report should consist of the following essential components:
- problem definition and background
- aim(s)
- method(s)
- experimental setting (data), results and findings.
- The report can be organized as follows:
- Title and Author(s) with student ID and email address
- Abstract (few sentences to highlight major issues and findings)
- Introduction (background, motivation, purpose,...)
- Necessary definitions, concepts and theory
- Algorithm(s)
- Implementation details, such as
routines used/develped; stopping criterion, input/output and so on.
- Experiment results:
- what is the objective of each numerical experiment
- where is the data from.
- report experimental results to show the correctness and
efficiency of your algorithm(s) and/or implementation(s)
in tables or graphs.
- state that whether the results meet the objective
- Concluding remarks: summarize what have you learned
and what are remaining issues for further study.
- Acknowledgment (collaborator and helper if any)
- References
- The report is no less than 5 pages but not more than 10 pages
include your codes as appendix, which will
not be counted towards the page limit
- Email your report in the pdf file
to zbai@ucdavis.edu before 3:00pm, June 7, 2019.
-
Keep in mind that you need to provide a self-contained presentation
about the topic you worked, and use the experimental data to
to illustrate and support what you have learned, your findings and
possible future study.
