Kwan-Liu Ma is distinguished professor of computer science at the University of California,Davis. He received his PhD degree in computer sciecne from the University of Utah in 1993,and worked at ICASE/NASA Langley Research Center for 6 years before joining UC Davis. His research is in the intersection of visualization, computer graphics, human computer interaction, high-performance computing and machine learning. For his significant research accomplishments, Professor Ma received several recognitions, including the NSF PECASE award (2000),IEEE Fellow (2012), IEEE VGTC Visualization Technical Achievement Award (2013),IEEE Visualization Academy (2019), and ACM Fellow (2024).
