If so we hope you will join us at the SDSIC Entrepreneur's Forum. The program brings together energetic, creative and resourceful entrepreneurs who want to get moving. It is a forum for technologists, sales and marketing executives, managers, researchers, investors and industry experts to meet, share ideas and help drive the creation of new companies. So bring your ideas, your business plan and/or your resume. Our July event will feature an expert panel exploring opportunities in software security as well as plenty of networking opportunities to discuss all types of new software businesses. Agenda for July 10th: *Introductions: Each attendee has 15 seconds to introduce themselves. Suggested content; name, one sentence on background and skill set, one sentence on business areas of interest or reason for coming to the event. *Networking: 20 minutes for networking after introductions, allowing people to seek each other out based on introductions and hopefully form smaller groups with common interests. *Panel discussion: Panel of 3-4 participants with a moderator to discuss the focus area of opportunity within the software industry. 30-40 minutes. *Question and answer: Audience Q&A, 15-20 minutes, Attendance at these events will be restricted. The key audience for the event will be technologists, business people and entrepreneurs (and some who are all three) whose goal is to participate in an early stage or startup company on a full time basis, as well as those who invest in early stage companies. Those wishing to sell services to such companies should not attend. Moderator Francis Costello Panelists Terry Mohn, IT Strategy & Planning Architect, Sempra Energy Utilities, previously: CTO for two San Diego startups and one European startup based in London, history: System Architect in advanced development for Motorola, Titan Linkabit, and other San Diego companies. Sean Peisert, Fellow at the San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC) , where he performs research in computer security, and is the assistant director of the California Next-Generation Internet Applications Center (CalNGI) . He has also worked with Autodesk , Pixar Animation Studios, and Dolby Laboratories, and taught workshops at SDSC and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories. Greg Arnold, co-founder and Director Passlogix(www.passlogix.com), a leading developer of identity management software, and serves on its Board of Directors. Prior to co-founding Passlogix, Mr. Arnold was Founder and Principal of CH Interactive LLC, an advisory firm that worked with large corporations, investors and start-ups to create, fund, launch and reposition emerging technology businesses. He also co-founded Simon & Schuster Online, a similar unit at Simon & Schuster, Inc., a leading publisher, where he was responsible for business development, marketing, strategic planning and new technologies.
