Announcements
- The finals have been graded and grades posted. As I often do in this class, class grades
were high (the median grade a B+). The final-exam grades were not high. Maybe you
need to stop reading stuff on silly electronic devices; the exam was mostly at test of
reading comprehension and your ability to retain the main ideas from each reading.
- If you want to pick up your final paper with my scribblings on it, as well as scribblings
on your talk, please do so early Spring term, coming either to my advising hours or my ECS 120
office hours. Those hours will be posted on my webpage.
- The
video clips
I showed on our Final’s day are from Jacob Bronowski’s
The Ascent of Man.
I recommend the entire 13-hour miniseries.
Carl Sagan’s Cosmos is
in many ways similar. Both scientists are treasures.
