Vladimir Filkov

Professor of Computer Science and Radiology · Director, CS AI for Health Initiative

Prof. Filkov specializes in generative and multimodal AI/ML for understanding complex phenomena in biomedical research and software development. With students and collaborators he has published more than 150 papers and received two test-of-time awards. He is an ACM Distinguished Member, a UC Davis College of Engineering 2024 Outstanding Researcher, a DataLab Fellow (and its inaugural Director of Translational Data Science), and AI Advisor to the UC Davis Health Center for Precision Medicine and UC Davis Grand Challenges. He also directs the DECAL Lab.
